Here in Norway, we whalers use this for fighting off mother-in-laws! On more modern devices, the spike is usually launched electrically, but older models such as the one depicted typically required simple manual fencing.

I think this is a zombie repellent sound generator. Vaguely remember reading about these. I think they worked by simulating the sound of a right wing christian humming, thereby giving the impression that there were no tasty brains to be had.

Chickens (Hens) have been continuously laying eggs in a family line since before chickens were chickens. Eggs however, were already eggs when the dinosaurs laid them.
