No joke! Samsung already has 32" monitors with 240 hz refresh rates. They have large TVs that do higher refresh rates as well. The only thing special here is that it's OLED. Even so, the 90 hz refresh rate is just odd and not a frequency doubling of 30 fps. Plus it's small. Color me unimpressed.
Chronotrigger had many great reasons to do "New Game +." Not only did you get to keep your levels, skills, and gear, but there were several endings to work towards. On top of that, several choices in the game influenced side stories and even which characters would join your team. Absolutely fantastic and a pleasure to play all the way through multiple times.
"... The commissioner won a bidding war to get art made by one of these figures while they were experiencing a severe manic episode due to medication changes, and when they regretted it (because, you know, it was a manic impulse buy) and explained and tried to get the artist to refund them, even a bit, they refused. The commission was taking a long time and the commissioner basically said "okay well if you won't refund me, you finish it ASAP or this becomes a legal matter", resulting in this piece."
The business types have it all dialed in now. You make a game that is JUST fun enough to enjoy, but annoying enough to make people want to buy these "booster packs."
If the game was really fun then people would gladly sit and slog through the grind because they were having a good time. If you make the game suck too much then people just quit playing. So their answer is "make it fun, but make it really slow to progress."
On top of that, they know people complained about the last time they did this so they plan in advance to release it without the microtransactions. Game reviews praise the game for not having them. A month later, BAM! Microtransactions galore. Pay up or spend 200 hours grinding repetitive copy/paste quests.
Well, I guess it's only fair. I tried Google Translate for the top text to English and it gave me two translation options:
"Request the right to buy any space in the NOI-O by using regular ice cream in the Tet festival" or "Love you right to buy an object in the NOI-O because of the traditional ice cream in Tet"
