His first game was in Donkey Kong where he was called Jumpman. It wasn't until Mario Bros came out that he became Mario and got into the sewers. Either was, with the likes of Super Mario 3DS and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, he's definitely living the dream.

It's a pretty good effort. Not sure it'll knock Super Mario 3DS off the wanted list this Christmas, but it looks like fun.
