Also, the discrepancy in health insurance costs isn't just living longer, it's mostly the whole "having babies" thing. So women who don't have babies have to bear higher insurance costs for the ones that do because, of course, men have no part in that.
I doubt any of these people actually carry these things around with them when they go out. An axe? A rifle and knives? I don't think I even know two people who own pipes, let alone carry them around.
Considering how little we know about actual religious practice in the pre-Christian period, this is less of a "revival" and more a total fabrication (like most forms of neo-paganism).
If you watch the movies, you might think that the books are fast-paced fun adventure, but I was, in fact, required to read the first book for intermediate school and I found it incredibly boring. Also, the books are really sexist. All the adventuring is done by guys and females are only rarely acknowledged to even exist. Last thing that girls in schools need are more books written by dudes about how only dudes can do cool stuff.
