@alex

You've also managed to imply in your headline that this is the same judge that ruled on underage marriage, when it isn't.

And sure, we've got judges in this country against Roe vs. Wade. Have they overturned it? Will we let them?

Y'know , I've wanted to bitch about this for years, but your liberal space utopia is ridiculously intolerant of other life styles. By Federation law everyone is equal, but when is a single Vulcan allowed to pursue his beliefs with out constant noodging to become more human?

Spock needled by everyone.
Tuvok urged to lighten up.
Data laughed at for not being "human" enough.
Worf...
Hell, the list's endless! Most of this crap would be actionable workplace harrassment by today's standards. "Please conform to our humanity or be ridiculed."
You'd never hear "C'mon, Space Jew, that pork won't kill ya...", but alien cultures are fair game.

Sorry, I love every version of this show, but that's always gone up my *ss a mile.

happy

1340, "lucky," from hap "chance, fortune" (see haphazard), sense of "very glad" first recorded c.1390. Ousted O.E. eadig (from ead "wealth, riches") and gesælig, which has become silly. O.E. bliðe "happy" survives as blithe. From Gk. to Ir., a great majority of the European words for "happy" at first meant "lucky." An exception is Welsh, where the word used first meant "wise." Used in World War II and after as a suffix (e.g. bomb-happy, flak-happy) expressing "dazed or frazzled from stress." Happiness is first recorded 1530. Happy hour "early evening period of discount drinks and free hors-d'oeuvres at a bar" is first recorded 1961. Happy-go-lucky is from 1672. Happy as a clam (1636) was originally happy as a clam in the mud at high tide, when it can't be dug up and eaten.

Not to back him up, but you'll notice reading the article, that this is one man's opinion on this subject, not a tenet of Islamic law.

Besides, this is just one of those "Don't forget we're all supposed to hate someone" articles designed to keep our blood pressure up.

@ Adam

I thought the open-necked shirt/shaved chest/neck scarf were good visual cues, myself. Can't trust musicians to be gender specific. Look at Bowie and Iman.

Yeah, David, the Spanish Inquisition and witch burning weren't inborn decisions either.

I went to the donation website and couldn't prove or disprove it's validity because, strangely, it's in Spanish, which I can't read.

Regardless, I saw a Twitter ad there, so honest, corrupt, or just plain misunderstood, the Argentinians are just as doomed as we are.

..."he respected his kill"

Do you guys get this stuff from watching "Pocahontas" or what? Before the La-Z-Boy was invented, nobody spouted this philosophical claptrap about what you ate and how you got it.

Chow down!
