Who Let The Dogs Out?

Who let the dogs out? Who? Who?
Oh, Kevin. Baha Men asked that question fourteen years ago, and answer is still elusive. I'm not sure even Judge Judy could figure it out.

Icicles form as the wheels spin. Neat! TYWKIWDBI (Things That You Wouldn't Know if We Didn't Blog Intermittently) has more photos of this phenomenon. Stan, the resident blogger, lives in Minnesota, so he knows what he's talking about.
A patient artist could do a lot with this feature of winter life.

If you want to attract business, you've got to show that you have a sense of humor. William Grinly, an undertaker in London, knew just what to do. He passed around cards like this one to drum up business. The text reads:
At ye lower Corner of Fleet Lane at ye Signe of ye Naked Boy & Coffin you may be Accommodated wth all things for a Funeral as well ye meanest as those of greater Ability upon Reasonable Terms more particularly Coffins Shrouds Palls Cloaks Sconces Stans Hangings for Rooms Heraldry Hearse & Coaches Gloves wth all other things not here mentioned by Wm.Grinly Coffin Maker.

Why is the Buddha naked? Why are there two of them? Why are they climbing a building? We have no idea. Eric Jou, Kotaku's correspondent in Beijing, reports that these two sculptures are a mysterious art installation in Jinan, Shandong province.
What do they mean?

Get it? Loafers! You know, made of bread! Ha!
Okay, I'll stop. But first, some details: these loaves were made by Josey, a baker in San Francisco. He makes a lot of special and unusual breads at his shop known as The Mill. Did he sell these gently-used shoes after wearing them?

I wish I knew the story behind this picture. It went viral in Russia a little over a year ago, but it may be much older than that.
Russia makes sense as a point of origin, though. When it's that cold and snowy in Moscow, a harpist will both stay warm and draw attention by busking in a bear suit. And to own both a harp and a perfect bear suit, you have to get out and work every day. At least that's the story from the shallow reaches of my imagination. Can you come up with a better one? -via Arbroath

Eisentraut Theatres in Hillsboro, Illinois, can't just pass on showing the latest Disney film just because it's cold. But they did just enough editorializing on the marquee to draw attention, and maybe even some warm laughter. Come to think of it, wouldn't it have been nice if they'd released Frozen, a movie based on The Snow Queen, in July when we all want to go to an air-conditioned theater to get away from the heat?
Okay, cue the discussion on the proper use of the word "ironic." -via Buzzfeed

What is this all about? Redditor listrophy spotted an Amazon delivery across the street that seems a little …large. Of course, knowing how Amazon sometimes uses excessive packaging, several commenters assumed it was an SD card or something with a lot of bagged air. And a second box to follow.
But it's probably a car. A few months ago, it was announced that three people who bought Nissans through Amazon would get them delivered in Amazon boxes. The accompanying film crew must be having lunch before the unboxing. The remaining question is: who gets to play with the box?

Redditor arc_en_ciel built a ball pit inspired by Randall Munroe's personal ball pit. That's been quite some time ago, and there have been many good times in the pit. But on New Year's Eve, it appears that the party was lagging somewhat, and the partygoers turned to sorting balls by color. Another redditor, Broskander, posted a picture so that everyone will know.

Redditor bobward writes, "My uncles made a mistake installing a new rain gutter..." According to commenters, they actually made several. How many can you find?

Homeowner TaterTotsForLunch not only does not have to put up so many lights to be fully decorated for Christmas, but he also did not think up the idea, his wife painted the Grinch, and he even waited for someone else to post the picture to reddit. So he's got the "minimal work" thing down. This is just one of a list of 19 Totally Amusing Christmas Decorations, some of which you've seen before, but also some that are fairly new, at Buzzfeed.

Cleanup in aisle three! A spilled bottle of ketchup is a grand opportunity for drama. A couple of Trader Joe's employee took advantage of the situation just to give you a laugh! My theory is that it was Colonel Mustard in the condiment aisle with a ketchup bottle, used just to throw us off. You got any better ideas?
The reddit thread that accompanied this picture is full of Trader Joe's employees talking about how great it is to work there, and customers who tell how great it is to shop there. There are no Trader Joe's where I live -are they really that nice?

Portland is forever trying to one-up Austin in weirdness. Well, Oregonians, you'd better bring your best game. Austin has stockpiles of weirdness you haven't even seen before.

Cats love the occasional human lap. Now you can experience a role reversal. Unfold, a design studio in Antwerp, Belgium, built this enormous couch. Unfold prefers to think of it as a sculpture, though, and names it Felix Domesticus. It was one of 5 cat-themed elements of an art installation that the studio assembled in 2010. The 3.5-meter long cat fills an apartment master bedroom. Visitors to the exhibit could sit on it for what Unfold calls “sweet revenge.”
Unfold should mass produce and sell this couch design. I’d bet that a lot of cat owners would happily make room for it in their homes.

I can’t track down the origin of this sculpture, but I want to high-five the inventive artist responsible. It's in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. One question: is it a very heavy bicycle with a non-functional radiator or a radiator fixed to the wall and attached to a non-functional bicycle?
