Jedi Entrance Only

Can't open the door? Use the side entrance, Luke. I suppose this is one way to weed out those who don't belong to the Jedi Academy.

Maybe we should take the stairs instead.
To advertise its new show in Brazil, National Geographic commissioned this optical illusion advert that shows a 3-D crocodile waiting at the bottom of the escalator. The ad campaign for Wild World with Richard Rasmussen asked the escalator users "Ready for ad adventure through the Brazilian forest?"
Well, at least it's only one croc. That's nothing compared to what Australians have to deal with:

It’s a real-life game of Frogger! It must already be one of the higher levels -look at how thick the traffic is. If this frog doesn’t make it across, there’s going to be a real mess. But if you look closer, you’ll see the frog is on the windshield. The driver just needs to turn on his defrogger. -via reddit

Tired of the boring life at the Shire, Bilbo decided to move to the big city and try his hand at academia. Or perhaps squash. Via imgur.

Have you ever wondered what your favorite super heroes looked like as children? Since we can’t just ask the comic artists for each one, using pictures of the actors who portrayed them in movies is close enough. They were all pretty cute -even J.A.R.V.I.S.! We don’t know who originally put this together, but it was found at Geeks Girls. -via Neatorama’s Facebook page

Hannah, a 17-year old artist in South Korea, rendered heartthrob (or so I've been told) Benedict Cumberbatch in ketchup. What would Sherlock Holmes deduce from her choice of medium?

Some people just don't get bathroom etiquette (and they get punched in the face), so just to make sure that everyone's on the same page (and different urinals as far away from each other as possible), here are the bathroom rules:
The last one is put there after the infamous Chili Night of 2012 here at NeatoHQ.

Japanese artist Hikaru Cho made this surreal image with acrylic body paint. It's entitled "Open Your Heart."

If you like your food on the crunchy side, LEGO artist Sachiko Akinaga can supply it. I call dibs on the pancakes with butter and syrup, but you can have the banana. It's healthier for you, anyway. You can view more photos of Akinaga's work at Foodbeast.

These two photos of unknown provenance show a clever solution to a common problem: your toddler/preschooler/20-something scribbled on the wall.
The kid showed his/her creativity. You can do the same!

Finally! The perfect kitty litter for the exotic pet that's all the rage: the cat-epillar (or is it longcat?) Via Cheezburger

This building has apparently lost its Ivy League status. There’s no word on where the building is, or whether the “vertical garden” was removed deliberately or just fell by its own weight. I’m also not sure if this vine is some kind of ivy or euonymus or creeping fig or ficus. But it’s a certainly an a-peeling picture! The downside is all the birds and bugs and spiders that are now looking for a new home. -via reddit

This prank classified ad was published today in the special Valentine section of the Launceston Examiner in Tasmania. No Photoshop; the same announcement is at the online version of the paper. Redditor randomppl110 said both Jodie and Alex work at the newspaper, so there’s no chance of her missing it. If it had been someone not in the newspaper business, the chances of this lining up so well would not be good. -via reddit

This past Monday, an astronaut aboard the International Space Station captured a photograph of Sochi, Russia, at night. The circle of yellow lights designate the Sochi Olympics Park. The white circle within it is Fisht Stadium, with the Olympic flame showing up as a yellow dot. I believe the blue lights are from the Bolshoy Ice Dome, the Olympic hockey venue. -via With Leather

Japan has heavy snowfall right now. Tokyo is under a severe snowstorm warning for the first time in 13 years. 11 inches has fallen in that city and meterologists anticipate continued snowfall for Honshu (the largest island) and Hokkaido (the large northernmost island).
The storm has caused serious hardship, but some people are stillt trying to have fun. Here's a darumanyan--a snowcat. Twitter user @syasin_man spotted it on Saturday. Pranksters used a neighbor's bike--without permission, mind you--to give the cat a ride.
