How to Make a Ramen Roll Cheesesteak

(Photo: Hugh Merwin)

As the ramen craze continues, I am left to ponder if there is nothing that cannot be made of ramen. We have seen ramen tacos, burgers, pizzas and sandwiches. Could we not have a ramen car? A ramen house? An entire army of ramen soldiers ready to march at my command and conquer the world in my name?

The last one may go too far, but a ramen submarine sandwich roll is not. Hugh Merwin of Grub Street made one by softening ramen, mashing it into a baguette pan, then weighing the noodles down with a wine bottle for a few hours. After baking it in the oven, he had a fine sandwich roll perfect for a cheesesteak.

As one who has been on the receiving end of a few packages delivered by FedEx and found some of my packages ruined/broken I don't find this clip at all funny.

The sad thing is despite all of these "time saving measures", I imagine their bosses were hassling them for taking too much time. Time is money!

The only one that made me actually laugh was the first one with the oven plastered to the front of the truck. That was legit funny to me. The rest just seemed... incredulous. I stand by my earlier statement though. Even doing all that horrible stuff, they were probably still hounded for being late.

Makes me feel a lot better about Australia Post who don't even try to deliver to my house - they just put a "sorry you were out" card in my mailbox so I have to collect it from the Post Office.
