Last month, comedian Steve Patrick Adams delved into our psyches with an analysis of the significance of our favorite Bill Murray movies. Now he shows us the importance of who we address as Batman. You can see a larger version here.

It's unnecessary. There is only one Batman: Kevin Conroy, AKA "Real Batman." What does this say about me? Adams writes:

You enjoy surprising people with your unconventional taste. You also enjoy explaining your preferences for an unbearable length of time.

Well, um, I can't really argue with that. Once again, Adams's grasp of the human mind is stunningly perceptive.

The original Star Trek show was filmed when all effects were practical, as opposed to digitally created special effects, and adding camera shake meant literally shaking the camera.

Star Trek: The Next Generation was made in the late 80s/early 90s, when digital effects were more widely used in television productions, so effects like camera shake were digitally added in post-production, with a little help from the actors, of course:

Nowadays digital effects make it easy to simulate camera shake via software, but when you use the same software to remove the camera shake effect you're left with nothing but amazing performances.

Add the catchy DJ Snake and Lil Jon track "Turn Down For What" to those performances and you've got pure comedy gold on your hands, courtesy of some dude named Danny Rogers and his mashup "Turn Down For Spock".

The mighty God of Thunder has undergone some changes over the years, from new looks and new attitudes to that time Loki turned him into a frog, but now Thor’s about to go where many male characters in the Marvel Universe have gone before- full blown female.

It’s quite refreshing to see Thor in this light, and just like when Loki took over the body of Sif for a minute these guys don’t lose a bit of their mighty attitudes when exploring their feminine side.

YouTube member Omer Barnea caught the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace last week and was surprised to hear the Queen’s Guards playing the theme from Game of Thrones. They did a good job, although it would have probably been easier on the audience if the musicians had all been facing the same direction. -via Viral Viral Videos

Futurama was presented to our eyeballs via image projection devices that only transmit two dimensional visuals, and even though the projected images are strictly reruns these days there is still a lot of fan love out there for the Adventures of the Galaxy Express gang.

If those image projection devices were able to transmit the show’s visual code in 3D it probably would have looked a lot like these amazing CGI Futurama visualizations by Alexy Zakharov, with lots of fine details and shiny bits.

But since the show was created by Matt Groening, a guy who appreciates the value of super flat characters, two dimensional character art was a given.

The fine humanoids who worked on the show rendered the buildings, vehicles, and some of the space effects in 3D, using a technique called Toon Shading to make the 3D models look more like 2D drawings, but their CGI looked nothing like Alexy's incredibly realistic version of Futurama!

When Ash and his friends travel the world trying to catch all the Pokemon they can they're not hunting for their dinner, and most Pokemon don't look like they'd make for a very good meal.

However, a new pop up restaurant in Tokyo, Japan seems to think one particular Pokemon looks good enough to eat, and they're serving up colorful dishes shaped like Ash's pal Pikachu:

You won't find Lightning Rat Stew on their menu, just friendly faced food like the Pika Burger, the Pika Parfait, and the totally tasty Pika Rump Dumpling:

The Pikachu Cafe was created to promote the upcoming Pokemon the movie XY, and they'll be serving up these cute culinary critter shaped courses until August 31st, so if you're in Japan catch 'em while you can!

Etsy seller Neal Sasser of La Grange, North Carolina made this impressive model of the Enterprise using 70 Natural Light brand 24-ounce beer cans. He describes it as his masterpiece and the flagship of his crafting operation. What are its dimensions? Sasser says, "Specs = AWESOMENESS." That really does tell you all that you need to know.

I'm especially impressed with Sasser's realistic depiction of the shuttlecraft bay doors.

Blade Runner is such an amazing and beloved film that it just wouldn’t be right to bring it back with a new cast and cutting edge CGI effects because it looks amazing just the way it is, but if you're going to give it new life you have to recreate it as an animated feature.

YouTuber Chris Kessler agrees, and he put together a trailer using clips from various anime series like Bubblegum Crisis and AD Police, with audio from Blade Runner, which is quite entertaining to watch and Blade Runner-y in all the right places.

If Hollywood filmmakers would stop turning cartoons into live action movies and flip the adaptation process around we might see some animated remakes of movies like Blade Runner that'll be worthy of those high box office prices!

Chances are the Pokemon fan/cosplayer/trainer you’re exposing to these horribly niche flirtations has already heard every line from “Star you single?" to "Are you a cat that shoots out random gold coins? The 4th annual Robot Film Festival, now in its fourth year, acknowledges robots in film. The festival will be presented on July 19th, 2014 at Bot & Dolly studios in San Francisco. This year's theme is “Telepresence & Identity: Human-Machine Integration.” Tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite. From their promotional literature,

Attendees at the Allentown, Pennsylvania Comic Con were treated to an impromptu performance by a real life cartoon character, a man who looks, sounds and (kinda) acts like a real life Peter Griffin from that Family Guy cartoon show.

This spot-on cosplayer also happens to be from Rhode Island, he has a Facebook account where he has proclaimed himself to be the Real Life Peter Griffin, and guess what- nobody’s arguing with him, because this is clearly the role he was born to play!

Thankfully someone caught the whole thing on video, and even though the audio is pretty terrible, and really hard to hear at times, you kinda get the picture...oh, and he’s not punching a giant chicken so it’s not terribly exciting. Still, real life Peter Griffin you guys!
