An Honest Trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron

Screen Junkies does it again, with an honest trailer for a movie that hasn’t even been released on DVD and Blu-ray yet. That may be why these clips are so fuzzy -is it it just me?

(YouTube link)

The second Avengers film didn’t quite make the splash the first movie did, even after years of hype. They do have a point about the unbelievable requirements of Age of Ultron in regards to the rest of the Marvel movie universe. No matter, if you liked it, you’ll like it even after seeing the Honest Trailer version. -via Tastefully Offensive

Toilet Paper Dispenser Sounds Just Like Chewbacca

(Video Link)

Pull some paper off the roll from this toilet paper dispenser. The creaking roller sounds just like a constipated Wookiee. I suggest a new strategy, Artoo: let the Wookiee go.

Okay, so it isn't an earth shattering revelation, but wasn't that a fun waste of a minute and a half?

Interview Reveals The Mysterious Way Of The Brothers Quay

The Brothers Quay changed the way audiences thought about stop motion animation, mostly because those audiences were totally creeped out by the short films they created!

Of course, creepiness is but one of the many things that make a Brothers Quay film great, and their decidedly avant garde approach to the medium has truly elevated stop motion well beyond the realm of Saturday morning cartoons.

(YouTube Link)

Writer and filmmaker Shade Rupe got to interview the Brothers Quay about their thirty plus years playing with puppets, their cinematic approach to stop motion filmmaking, and Christopher Nolan's short documentary about the Brothers entitled Quay.

Twelve Of The Most Epic Mini Golf Courses In America

Some people love hitting the links for nine or eighteen holes of golf on a massive green course where they can cart around for hours and leave the hustle and bustle of urban life behind for a bit.

(Winter Summerland Miniature Golf, Bay Lake, Florida)

But that can also be boring, and if you want to meet a real fun golfing crowd, the folks who know how to putt past a windmill's whirling blade or bank a shot off a blue whale, then you've gotta go pure putter and hit a mini golf course.

(Pelly's Mini Golf, Del Mar, California)

Mini golf courses can be short, crusty and full of rat hotels or they can be a massive and thoroughly thematic putter's paradise, sweeping you away for

(Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf, N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)

If you're looking to go epic with your mini golf game then check out this list of 12 Epic Mini Golf Courses That Take Putting To The Next Level, featuring a pic and link for each park featured.

For Sale: Star Trek House

(Photo: David W. Payne Photography)

It's every Trekkie's (realistic) dream: to live in a house that looks like a Starfleet starship. This 5-bedroom house in Friendswood, Texas, a suburb on the southeastern side of Houston, is the perfect fulfillment of that dream. The dining room looks like a classic Trek setting. The bathroom looks like the Enterprise engine room from The Wrath of Khan. The enormous home theater looks like a combination of the bridge and chapel from the original series.

Tiny Town Studios built this amazing house. In addition to the Trek-theme rooms, it has a bedroom that looks like it belongs in a fantasy castle, as well as more conventional rooms for your guests who lack proper taste. You can read more about it at the Houston Chronicle.

Ridiculously Funny Comic Series About Men Being Fooled By Makeup

Have you ever heard a guy claim that a girl tricked him into being attracted to her by wearing makeup?

I definitely have, and aside from the fact that this is one of the most shallow and victim complex-based things a guy can say about a girl, it's also utterly ridiculous.

Illustrator Megan Nicole Dong took the ridiculous premise of men being deceived by makeup to even more ridiculous places in the series she posted to her Sketch Shark Tumblr page.

You'll see men falling off cliffs, kissing pig bottoms and waiting by the chimney for Santa to arrive, all because they were deceived by makeup.

This Monkey Looks Like Wolverine

(Images: Marvel, Lessy Sebastian)

On the left is Marvel superhero Wolverine. On the right is a Wolf's mona monkey (Cercopithecus wolfi) photographed by Lessy Sebastian. Comic Book Resources points out that they're almost mirror images! If Marvel ever creates an alternate universe in which the X-Men are lower primates, then the Wolf's mona monkey is ready for a starring role.

But wait--Marvel apparently already has! Now it's time for Marvel Apes to be a movie trilogy.

How Disney Parks Make Sure You Don't Lose An Arm On Their Rides

(Image Link)

They tell you to keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all time knowing riders will disobey because they've been taught that rollercoasters are most fun when your arms are in the air.

But Disney parks have a reputation for being tidy, orderly and accident free, so how do they protect themselves from those rebel riders who refuse to keep their arms inside the car?

They use this crazy looking contraption called the “envelope of protection”, which is covered in small pieces of wood that approximate the farthest points a rider can reach out on all sides.

If any pieces are knocked off during the coaster's run the ride's safety engineers can locate the problem spot and help prevent future limb loss.

Starship Enterprise Shelf

Instructables member caitlinsdad has eclectic tastes. In the past, we've seen his jalapeño poppers that look like rats and his Star Wars theremin bra. Most recently, he built this wall-mounted shelf that looks like half of the Enterprise from Star Trek.

The starboard engine nacelle extends to the wall, providing a handy shelf. The whole thing is made of cardboard, wood popsicle sticks, and fibreboard. He shaped and glued the pieces together, then stained the finished product with a cherry-colored combination stain and polyurethane.

Watching Anthophobia Might Make You Afraid Of Flowers

Horror filmmakers try to stay in touch with the genre's roots, which is probably for the best because too much experimentation tends to cast a dark shadow upon a tried and true genre like horror.

But sometimes it's fun to see someone go full freakazoid with their short film, creating something that is dark and disturbing even though we're not quite sure why the film is getting under our skin.

(Vimeo Link)

Anthophobia is as bizarre as horror shorts come, but filmmaker Valentin Petit's incredibly captivating cinematography sucks you in despite the fact that you'll be thinking "WTF?" the whole time. (Contains mature content)

Songs Of The Smiths Turned Into Moody 8-Bit Masterpieces

The Smiths and 8-bit video games coexisted in the 1980s, but they only came together when someone played an arcade game while listening to The Smiths on their Walkman, Morrissey's soulfully froggy voice in their ears while their fingers tapped away on the buttons.

(YouTube Link)

Sadly, the Smiths were never asked to create any digital tracks for arcade games, but their synth creations probably would have sounded alot like these 8-bit masterpieces by Hipster Disco.

This Charming Man has never sounded more charmingm, you definitely get a high score for this radical video Hipster Disco!
