40 Actors and Celebrities That You Didn't Know Appeared in Star Trek

"Manhunt," an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, featured two characters belonging to the Antedean species. Worf referred to them as a "handsome race" -- and with reason. Beneath that makeup was Mick Fleetwood of the rock band Fleetwood Mac.

He's one of many celebrities that has appeared on Star Trek, often under heavy makeup. Uproxx has a round up of 40 of them, including King Hussein of Jordan, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Iggy Pop, and Kirsten Dunst.

Ways A Gamer's Relationship With A Video Game Is Just Like With Their Partner

As an admitted video game addict I know how much a game means to me when real life starts to rub me raw, and I find myself looking forward to coming home to the comfort of that virtual world.

Starting a new game is often just like a relationship- you become intrigued, invested and eventually frustrated by your new love's seemingly illogical nature, and that's when you know you'll be sticking around until the bitter end.

Because both gamers and lovers know that if there's no passion, no fire and no intrigue then there's probably no future.

Dorkly's Julia Lepetit drew up this side-by-side comparison that shows all the ways our personal relationships are like a gamer's relationship with a video game.

If only the game companies could come up with a game I still enjoy playing eight plus years later...

A Supercut Of David Schwimmer Saying "Juice"

I'm not sure whether the real Robert Kardashian enjoyed calling his friend O.J. Simpson "Juice" fifty times a day, but according to David Schwimmer's portrayal of Robert in the FX series The People V. OJ Simpson he was all about the juice.

And even though the miniseries isn't even over yet YouTuber Nicholas Martin was able to put together a minute long supercut of David Schwimmer saying "Juice" about a billion times.

(YouTube Link)

I wonder how long the next "Juice" supercut will be when the season is actually over?

Bizarre Conspiracy Theory Claims Katy Perry Is Actually JonBenét Ramsey

If you're looking for a crazy conspiracy theory to read there are some real corkers online, and one of the newer theories that caught my eye claims Katy Perry is actually child pageant queen JonBenét Ramsey, who was murdered in 1996.

There's obviously very little proof to support this claim, other than the fact that Katy kinda looks like what JonBenét might have grown up to look like.

Also there's a lot of proof that Katy is actually Katheryn Elizabeth "Katy" Hudson born October 25th, 1984 in Santa Barbara, California, which would have made her twelve at the time of the murder.

(Warning- this video is full of crazy rambling)

(YouTube Link)

But the proof these online conspiracists are presenting is rock solid- JonBenét and Katy kinda look alike, and sorta have the same eyebrows, their parents look kinda similar too.

Oh, and they both know the lyrics to God Bless America, which as we all know is an extremely rare talent, and get this- Katy referenced JonBenét in one of her biographies. Say, that is compelling evidence!

Conan The Clueless Gamer And PewDiePie Play Far Cry Primal

Bombing doesn't have to take place on stage during a live comedy show, it can happen when one comedian tries to improv with another, far more talented comic who just naturally shows them up.

It used to happen all the time on live broadcasts, and those YouTubin' youngsters of today don't know how to be spontaneously funny instead of formulated and rehearsed so they tend to clam up when the live cameras start rolling.

Watch as PewDiePie, a supposed comedian and "video game megastar" who has millions of subscribers on YouTube for some reason, gets shown up by the naturally funny Conan O'Brien.

Oh, and they play Far Cry Primal too! (Barely NSFW due to language)

(YouTube Link)

To be fair, young PewDiePie was probably transfixed by Conan's amazing pompadour, I've heard it can be quite distracting when seen in person...

My Spock

The hit Broadway show Hamilton features a catchy rap song called “My Shot” (hear it here). Jackson Lanzing took the tune and made it all about Star Trek’s Mr. Spock instead of Alexander Hamilton. Shields up!

(YouTube link)

Well, the other characters of Star Trek mentions, too. Altogether it’s as geeky as a Broadway rap tune can get. Contains NSFW language. -via Metafilter

Dad Reenacts Summons From Final Fantasy VII

Dads who enjoy spending quality quazy time with their kids are exemplary examples of manhood, especially when they embrace their child's geeky nature and go all out to impress their nerdy kin.

Nick Luciano's dad is one of these rare examples, and he is willing to do damn near anything to make his son smile, including making a fool of himself on video so his nerdy son can share his pride with the world.

Dad has starred in a few of Nick's videos, reenacting the taunt animations from Super Smash Bros., the Turbo Victory Poses from Street Fighter II and, most recently, the Summons from Final Fantasy VII.

Now we just need to figure out how to summon Nick's dad to our side when a battle is about to begin...

Teach Them While They're Young

(Lunarbaboon)

If you coddle your children, all you do is set them up for failure. You've got to teach them your values by example. If your son doesn't learn how to shirk responsibilities from you, how do you expect him to be able to shirk them when he's an adult?

Pee-Wee Herman Photoshopped Into Vintage Postcards

Pee-Wee Herman is truly one of the most likable and enduring characters in comedy history, and those of us who grew up loving Pee-Wee are still waiting (im)patiently to see what he does next.

Well, we won't have to wait much longer since Pee-Wee's Big Holiday will premiere on Netflix on March 18th, but until then here's Pee-Wee photoshopped into a bunch of vintage postcards courtesy of "professional daydreamer" A. Pants.

Isn't there something so right about seeing Pee-Wee tooling along in the old school Autopia cars, shaking his maracas South of the Border, or hitting the slopes with equally stylish fellow Little Richard?

A Cool Collection Of Epic Snow Sculptures

(Image Link)

The winter chill will soon give way to the spring thaw, so folks who don't live in a place where it's freezing cold year round will be making the most of the last winter snowstorms.

Some will make snow angels, others will pelt people with snowballs, but a select few will use hard packed snow as a sculpting medium, creating some mighty dreamy snow sculptures to amaze and astound.

(Image Link)

These skilled sculptors use tools and knowhow to transform a seemingly soft medium like snow into remarkably realistic, and surprisingly hard edged, sculptures that will someday melt in the sun.

Some snow sculptures are so well made and expertly engineered they look like people could move right in!

Hamburger Dungeons & Dragons Alignment Chart

(Image: Noah Stacey)

The Storm Crow Tavern is a restaurant and bar in Vancouver with a gaming theme. The entire place is filled with board games and Choose Your Own Adventure novels to amuse yourself with while dining. There's a heavy emphasis on fantasy role-playing games. You've got to read the menu, which has appropriate dishes, such as the Tacos of the Damned and Patton Oswalt's Sadness Bowl. If you're not sure what to drink, you can randomly roll a d20 for a $5 Random Shot. These include the Critical Miss and the Grue.

Artist Noah Stacey loves the place. When the restaurant decided to open a new location called the Storm Crow Alehouse, he decided to contribute to the decor. He painted 9 burgers with different Dungeons & Dragons alignments.

You'll need it. You see, if you don't have a specific burger in mind, you can use a d20 to randomly generate one.

These Pompadours Are Out Of Control

The pompadour hairstyle bridges the gap between royalty and street punks, since it was named after Madame de Pompadour but was later adopted by Greasers, Rockabilly kids and Zoot Suiters who were seen as lowlifes by mainstream society.

Nowadays many of the freewheelin' folks who sport a pomp like to take it as far as they can, their huge hair helping them stand out in a world full of shaved heads and droopy hairdos.

Pompadour peacocking has led to the formation of some epic level hair helmets, as exemplified by the Japanese greasers who like to go out dancing in the streets.

With any luck the younger generations will see the value of a classic hairstyle and carry on the pompadour tradition!

Hidden among These C-3POs is an Oscar

Are you enjoying the Academy Awards this evening? While listening to the excessively long introductions and acceptance speeches, you can search for the Oscar. Mike Rogalski of Mental Floss placed one somewhere among this golden sea of C-3POs.

Can you find it? The odds of doing so are approximately 3,720 to 1.

Two Odd Ducks Foil An Evil Foodie's Plot In DuckManBoy

Images of superheroes and sidekicks are likely to pop into your head when someone mentions that a duo has been going around foiling dastardly plans.

But in the case of DuckManBoy they're not really heroes, just a boy with a duck's body and a man with a duck's head battling an evil foodie hell bent on turning them both into duck puree.

Oh, and there's a ticked off platypus wearing a pirate hat too!

(Vimeo Link)

DuckManBoy was created by Louis Hudson and Ian Ravenscroft for the 2014-15 Nickelodeon International Animated Shorts Program, and it's a total quack up!

When Your Hometown Becomes a TV Show Set

In 2010, the small town of Senoia, Georgia, welcomed a television production into their town, not knowing if the proposed show would ever be aired or how long it would last. The show was indeed a hit, and life changed considerably for the people who live in the set of The Walking Dead. An anonymous resident of Senoia talked to Cracked about how the zombie apocalypse series has affected the town and its people.

One of the drawbacks of filming in a real town is that real people really live there. The Alexandria Safe-Zone, which brings a whole new meaning to the term "gated community," is a real subdivision called the Gin Property, whose residents have had to live with certain new conditions. "They had to agree to things like specific exit/entry times at their own homes to work around filming, and allowing bright lights and loud noises at three in the morning," Brittany says. "I believe they are legally obligated to wait until the crew okays their leaving so that they don't mess up a scene."

That's right: When filming is in progress, there might as well be real zombies outside, because you're not leaving your house. God forbid you get stuck in traffic or have to work overtime and get home after filming has started -- you're camping out.

That’s just (part of) one thing. Cracked titled their article 6 Weird Realities Of Life On The Set Of The Walking Dead, so you can go there and read about the businesses, the zombies, the sets, the tourists, and more.
