At Least 22 Florida Schools Infested With Roaches

How clean is your child's school cafeteria? It may not be as clean as you think.
Students at Rock Springs Elementary School in Apopka are not allowed inside the cafeteria after the roaches forced it to abruptly shut down. School officials said the cafeteria will not open until Monday at the earliest.

The Orange County School District in Florida is facing a huge bug problem. According to reports upwards of 22 schools are infested with roaches.  Eew!!

There were always random cockroaches we would find in my high school in northern Indiana. I've seen a few in the schools I work in. What is probably worse is usually schools have rodent (mice and rat) problems. They really are disgusting. Of course cuts to custodial staff and funding don't help with schools being clean. Add students who hoard food and god only knows in their lockers and staff who keep food in their rooms and offices and it's a virtual buffet.
