Cookie Monster learns a little self-control when it comes to cookies! We learn about his new skill in a parody of the song "I Love It" by Icona Pop. Waiting just makes the cookie taste better later! Self-regulation is part of Sesame Street's curriculum this year, when the show's 44th season begins September 16th. -via Viral Viral Videos

So. What did you accomplish when you were four years old? Robert "Bobby" Tufts hasn't even made it to preschool yet but he's already been elected mayor. Twice!
According to the Politico, Bobby was only three years old when he won election for Mayor of the tiny town of Dorset, Minnesota, last year and he won again this year:
Mayor Tufts’ name was picked Sunday during annual Taste of Dorset festival to be mayor of Dorset for a second term. It has no formal city government and has a population of 22 to 28, depending on whether the minister and his family are in town.
Anyone could vote as many times as they like - for $1 a vote - at any of the ballot boxes in stores around town. The proceeds go toward organizing the festival.
I wouldn't mind carrying a tot around in a Baby Bjeard. And if I had twins to transport, then I'd also use a Baby Stovepipe Hat. Theron Parlin, AKA Lunchbreath, reminds us of great childcare gadgets from the past.
Principal Fong Yun of The Albert Kindergarten in Taichung, Taiwan, believes that kids today lack confidence and courage, so he set out to create a military-style training for children:
Yun is convince her training will help the students deal with hardships like tough college admission exams, job hunting and even marriage. Many Taiwanese parents seem to share her beliefs, as all the classes at Albert Kindergarten are full and parents drive from over half an hour ever day just to drop their kids off here. The children climb ladders, do handstands, backflips and all kinds of other exercises that even hardened marines sometimes find difficult. In order to graduate, they must prove they’ve mastered the entire routine by passing a challenging test.
Twitter user yamel115 Tweeted this picture of her son cosplaying as Captain Mal inside a Serenity stroller last Halloween. Now that's a dedication to your kid's costume.
Little Ayla (the Cowardly Lion on the left) was born near Halloween so to help her celebrate in style, her parents threw a Wizard of Oz party complete with a Yellow Brick Road and a full cast of characters. The results are adorable and certainly deserve a long look, if only for inspiration for your own youngster's birthday parties.
Adorable Yerin Park loves running from daddy when he makes those funny sounds …up to a point. That point was caught on camera, when she tells him off in baby talk. It only lasts for a minute, though, and the fun is on again. Yerin was around 15 months old at the time. -via Daily Picks and Flicks
Meet baby Jasleen, all 16 lb 5 oz of her. She's a big baby, all right, but that's not the only thing remarkable about her. Get this: she was born naturally, not by C-section: Link
We had a few kids in our cosplay round up, but the kids in Mary Sue's collection are pretty darn amazing. I'm particularly in awe of the child wearing a Predator costume who is way too young to have ever seen the movie itself.
Even before this little one can start hearing Harry Potter stories before bed time, Cayden will be falling asleep with Harry Potter stories under him. Photographer Lindsey Lee Hartsell took this image of the angel, whose parents are serious Potter nerds.
Here's more proof that a little child can learn anything her parents are interested in teaching her: a two-year-old Russian girl recognizes all kinds of vehicles from their logos. They are pronounced a little differently in Russian, but I'm impressed. I was in my twenties before I could recognize any car brand besides Volkswagen, and in my forties before I could reliably recognize American cars. -via Tastefullly Offensive
You'll no doubt be seeing plenty of Comic Con photos this week, but who can't use a little more adorable baby pictures, especially when they involve a little tiny Kaylee getting to pose with Alan Tudyk, AKA Wash.
