There are some strange stilt walking costumes taking to the mean streets of Halloween these days, custom made otherworldly creations reminiscent of the Landstriders from The Dark Crystal or the Wheelers from Return to Oz.

Expectant mothers can now proudly display an artist's rendition of their unborn child's skeleton via their baby bump thanks to this skeleton maternity t-shirt by Etsy seller BabyTalk Designs.
There's even a version for the sympathetic husband, which shows all the beer bottles(?) he's swallowed while anxiously awaiting the birth of his child, and a kid's version with a tummy full of candy.

The Hunt, Kart Driver and The Birds of Anger are three dark and fantastic looking short films based on popular video games Duck Hunt, Mario Kart and Angry Birds.
They were created for the G4 Films Epictober Film Festival, a fan-made short film contest that only took place in 2011 despite the popularity and great films produced by the viewers.

Keene, New Hampshire is home to a Halloween tradition that really lights up the night- the town gets together and carves thousands of pumpkins, which they display on a pumpkin pyramid, in an attempt to break a world's record.
In 2012 the town carved a total of 29,381 pumpkins, which is short of the 32,000 pumpkin world record, but the sheer spectacle of the event and town unity have made the Keene Pumpkin Festival a big hit since 1991.
