A Creative Way To Hand Out Lollipops

If you're going to be away on Halloween night but don't want to disappoint the trick-or-treaters here's a clever way to hand out candy- use a pumpkin!

Simply drill or poke holes in a foam pumpkin, stick a lollipop stem in each hole and you've got a cute piece of candy dispensing decor the neighborhood kids will appreciate when they make the rounds.

Hopefully they'll have enough self control to only take one piece...

A Terrifyingly Realistic Prop Called The Asylum Door

(YouTube Link)

This is the Asylum Door, a Halloween prop sure to scare the pants off of anyone who dares come a knockin'.

The effect is created by mounting a tablet or portable dvd player screen to a door's window pane, facing the footage forward so the viewer feels like they're looking in on a horrific asylum scene.

You can set it up to play any kind of scary video you'd like, but a hallway or interior scene creates the most convincing illusion.

Try it for yourself and see if anyone is brave enough to open the door...

Scary Cool Catrina Costume

Photo: Anna Fischer/Flickr

La Catrina originated in the Jose Guadalupe Posada's print entitled La Calavera de la Catrina (the skull of the rich woman), and has since become one of the most recognizable symbols of Mexico's Dia De Los Muertos celebration.

Catrinas wear pretty dresses, with spots where their bones show through, a big hat and lots of colorful flowers.

Catrinas have a bony skull face, but that doesn't mean they have to be scary. In fact, most Catrinas prefer to be elegant rather than gruesome.
