This graphic shows the wealth of the entire world, proportionally broken down into the countries that hold it. While the US makes up less than 5% of the world's population, Americans control almost 30% of the world's wealth. In second place is China, which makes up 18.59% of the world's population and controls 17.7% of its wealth. That sounds more equitable on the surface, but neither nation is known for sharing the wealth with its citizens.
