HipDict, the Hip Dictionary

HipDict is a crowdsourced dictionary that anyone can submit to. Your suggestion will have to go through some sort of review, but if it's clever, profound, or at least funny, it will eventually show up as an entry at Instagram. The point is to define words and phrases in the manner that people actually use them.

But portmanteaus and brand-new words are welcome as well, if they meet the criteria.

Reminds me of "sniglets" like Lap-Drop (the little cards that fall out of magazines).

Mars is a dead end, always was. I think its neat to photograph Mars and take samples, but i don't think anything good will come of sending people there.

Before any of that, we need to figure out how to have a (nearly) self-sufficient ecosystem. Otherwise, feeding and providing air to those Martians will be very expensive. Building rockets is the easy part - we had that basic technology in the 1970s.
