An Alien Tribute in LEGO

Ochre Jelly is at it again! The movie Alien opened in theaters on May 25, 1979. In Seattle, that was at the annual SIFF Film Festival, which is going on now. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the film, the LEGO artist just had to do a special build.

Over the years there have been plenty of LEGO recreations of the various creatures, vehicles and sets from Alien franchise. But for this build I decided to focus on the genre-changing moment when Kane peers into the alien egg! From that point on, screen sci-fi would never be the same again...

It looks like gymnastics to me. Gymnastics in sneakers and t-shirt, and with a more engaged crowd than the usual golf-clap audience you usually get, but basically gymnastics.
