We are told to listen to our parents and to some extent, I believe in that but I have also thought about such situations as that which Kenneth Kimes Jr. had been trapped in for most of his life. It must be a cruel twist of fate for a child, not being able to choose one's own parents, to have to grow up in such an environment of agony and confusion. But for Kenny, that's all he knew from childhood to adulthood.

I duno. I watched my father for 20 years do a lot of stuff I didn't do. I think people put way too much emphasis on nurture over nature. We love the nurture argument because we want to believe everyone is generally the same (and generally good). Think about all the sperm that don't get through to the egg. Now think about the ones that do get through. It's literally a gamble whether a psycho or a passive person gets through.
