My grandfather tried to grow a mustache when he live in Cuba in the 1950s, when nd where every adult male had at least a mustache. He couldn't manage more than some fuzz on his lip, to his dismay.

I can grow a beard/mustache OK, but on each side there's a 1-inch gap so the beard never touches the hair. I can't grow sideburns.
