Neatorama's 10th Anniversary

Time flies when you're having fun! Today is Neatorama's 10th anniversary (that'll make this blog a fourth grader, right?) and I'd like to take a moment to reflect and give thanks.

It all started ten years ago in a spare bedroom in my house with this very first post (and the link is still good). Some 80,000 posts, 250 million visits, 155 million unique visitors and nearly 400 million pageviews later, we're still at it!

I'd like to thank Neatorama's wonderful team - Miss C, John, Jill, Zeon, Lisa, Rommel, Brian, Jen, Anthony, and my lovely wife Tiffany, and to all of you Neatoramanauts for making it a fun journey so far.

We've been working hard on the shop-side (have you checked out the NeatoShop lately? We'll do something fun there soon to celebrate!) We've also got a few neat things planned for the blog as well.

I can't wait to see what the next ten years will bring us :)

Happy anniversary. Not sure how long I've been visiting, or what the first post I read was, but my registration dates only 2012. Keep it up. You're one of the first feeds I read with my coffee when I wake up in the morning.

Incidentally, my own personal blog apparently also just turned 10. Well, not "just", but in July. I didn't even notice. Shows how much I tend to that...

So, exactly 60 years after the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki, you dropped Neatorama on the Internet. It was also exactly 10 years after Jerry Garcia of The Grateful Dead became dead himself, quite ungratefully. But then, it was also exactly 151 years after Henry David Thoreau's "Walden" was published and 31 years after Richard Nixon resigned the Presidency, so if you'd wanted to be prouder of your anniversaries, you should've done it a year earlier. You live and learn. But congratulations on your continuing to survive (and thrive) in a place (the Web) and time (now) where it takes a lot to get to a 10th Anniversary. Keep up the good work and I'll be back for your 20th.
