Do you recall The Camp Gyno? Now HelloFlo, a company that sells menstrual supplies, is back again with a new ad about a girl’s first period, and the party her mom throws to celebrate it. Technically safe for work, but be warned that there are plenty of jokes and imagery you might not want to share with your boss or co-workers. I actually attended a First Moon Party a few years ago. There were no men, just female relatives, and there were plenty of grandmas, aunts, in-laws, and cousins. The older women laughed and talked freely and the kids learned a lot -especially about how it’s okay to talk about bodily functions. We had a red velvet cake and gag gifts. A good time was had by all, but my daughters also thanked me for not doing that to them.
