The Huffy Radio Bike

From 1955-56, the Huffman Manufacturing Company produced about 8,500 bicycles with built-in AM radios. The tank in the center contained the radio unit with three vacuum tubes. There was a battery pack in the rear and controls on the right side. They were available in three colors and came with a headlight.

Notably, this was not the first nor the last radio bike. You can read more about radio bikes at Dial Your Ride. Motorola first offered radios for bikes in 1939, mostly likely aiming at a police market. Huffy also made an aftermarket bike radio in 1992.
