Artist Creates Portraits Using Single Sheet Of Mesh Fabric - Neatorama

Tulle is a sheer mesh fabric generally used for various crafts, or sewing projects where a bit of sheer color is needed, but an industrious artist named Benjamin Shine has discovered another good use for this niche fabric- he uses tulle to create detailed portraits.

Benjamin creates highly detailed, and incredibly realistic, portraits using a single folded sheet of tulle, creating the shadows on each portrait by layering the fabric and ironing it down in all the right places.

It's amazing what Benjamin is capable of creating with just one sheet of tulle and a regular old steam iron!

This is great! I missed the blizzard as I was out in CA for Christmas, and coming home to the slushy aftermath is never as fun as being here when it happens.

I want to know what the street crews were thinking. I know they watch the news and I know the weatherppl said that snow was coming--so why didn't the crews salt/sand the streets Friday night?? I can't imagine they were so determined to get the last bit of Christmas shopping in that they ignored their duty to the city.

Very nice! I found an HD version up on Vimeo which I suggest watching for the full experience. A lot of subtleties, including the falling snow, are all but lost in the YouTube compression artifacts.
