I discovered Debbie Ridpath Ohi yesterday, when I posted her YouTube playlist about librarians. She's a professional children's book illustrator. Her latest project is Naked!, a book written by comedian Michael Ian Black. It's about a little boy who escapes from his bathtub to go on misadventures.
Ohi does excellent work as an illustrator, but I'm most taken by her found object art. She can take ordinary discarded objects and turn them into funny images with just a few brushstrokes. Ohi explains, "There is potential art EVERYWHERE [...] you just need to look."
