Stephen King's Letter to His 16-Year Old Self

Stephen King has been remarkably candid in the past few years about his long foray into hard drugs and the destruction that they wreaked on his life. He’d like to have those years back.

In 2010, he contributed to Joseph Galliano’s Dear Me project, which invited 75 celebrities to write letters to their 16-year old selves. The correspondents included Suze Orman, Gene Hackman, William Shatner and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. King used his to try to get his younger self straightened out before he made terrible mistakes.
