Simon's Cat in a Mirror

(YouTube link)

Simon's Cat discovers a mirror. He reacts a bit more emotionally than most real cats you've seen. It's a rather short, but satisfying, episode in our favorite cartoon cat's life. -via Tastefully Offensive

While I realize that most fountains are powered by electricity, it could be gravity fed. That's how nearly all fountains until the late 1800s worked, including the fountains of Rome. How is Sherman so certain that this isn't one such?

The solution is incomplete. The wife said she came out an ANOTHER entrance. Yet we are led from the description provided there is only 1 entrance. Why couldn't the wife and her lover McQuire do it together. Her leading her husband to a pre-arranged spot, and then McQuire doing the killing. Remember they found the body together, so why could they not have killed together.
