The problem with umbrella, according to designers Lin Min-Wei and Liu Li-Hsiang, is that it only protects you from the rain coming from above. I want an umbrella that opens/closes even more quickly and conveniently than current designs. Be cool to have one that folds in the opposite direction, to make dashing into a taxi easier.

Rats! I was on my second prototype for an umbrella that works like this. Ah, well. I might not get the patent, but at least I should be able to buy one in the near future.
