OK, I'll take your word for it. I've spent my entire life being ridiculed for saying possum instead of opossum, so it's a breath of fresh air to be corrected in the other direction!

With the males being so confrontational when they come in contact with each other by barking & hissing and giving each other hell, I see how they got their name.

I always find it interesting that you get these 'celebrity' species in the animal kingdom like lions and tigers, and there so many species that people have just never heard of.
