The Sessions

(Warning: Some Sexual Language in Trailer) The Sessions is a film about the real life of Mark O'Brian, a man almost primarily contained to a 750lb iron lung. As a child, O'Brian had a bout with polio that left him largely paralyzed. The crux of the matter is, Mark now wants to have sex. He enlists the "help" of a sex therapist who he may or may not eventually fall in love with.

Find out interesting facts about iron lungs from the Nat Geo blog.

I was wondering when someone would bring this film up for comment, cuz I've wanted to point out this joke (a long joke, more a story really) by Jim Jefferies. As soon as I read the storyline of this movie, I thought of the joke, and it is for me, a preferrable way of finding loving humor in a sad situation. At least, it's a coping mechanism I can understand.

Warning: Not Safe For Work, Offensive to More Sensitive Viewers, X-rated, various disclaimers, proceed at your own risk, etc.

The story begins at 6:16.
