The World's Ugliest Buildings

This is the Elephant Building in Bangkok. Is it ugly or an acquired taste?

Yeah, I agree: ugly.

The Daily Telegraph rounded up pictures of twenty-one hideous buildings around the world. What's the ugliest building that you've ever seen?

I'm still trying to get my head around those building that try and replicate real life shapes and forms. All of those who try to replicate a shape are a complete architectural disaster. These designs do not think or care about the user or planning, and end up being unusable pieces of concrete.

Maybe I'm particularly tolerant of buildings, but of the 21 pictures I've only seen maybe 2 or 3 that I find ugly (e.g. the Ponte City Apartments, 6th pic).
The rest of them range from alright to actually very nice. The Strata SE1 (7th picture) looks really good to me, I don't see what makes it ugly.

I like a good quarter of those, or parts of them, although there's at least one in there I kind of love. On the other hand, 50% of them are awful, and they still look better than anything Michael Graves did.

At least as of this post the link sends you too:
Scott's Antarctic diet: Stewed penguin and champagne

Which was interesting by lacking in the pictures I thought it would have.
