Faceless Characters Tell A Different Story



These strange photo-manipulations look like a Photoshop lesson gone wrong. Photographer Nacho Ormaechea carefully selects the subject, cuts them out then replaces their form with random images that add a sense of depth, and mystery, to the scene. This is a refreshing take on portraiture, but I wonder how the models/subjects feel about being replaced?

I remember programs that made music with the Commodore 64 drive. The wreaked havoc on the heads and could not be re-aligned with software so they had to be brought in for repair.

I saw this earlier today, and have spent the WHOLE AFTERNOON looking at different computer parts playing music. My favourite so far is two stepper motors playing Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2:
