No Place Like Gnome

Retired window cleaner, Ron Broomfield, has been collecting garden gnomes for 50 years and now has 1600 of them. The garden ornaments have taken over Broomfield's home, both inside and out but he loves these endearing statues and even dresses as a gnome when he does his twice weekly grocery shopping. The value of this collection is estimated at over £40,000 ($64,537 USD)

Mr Broomfield said: 'I'm not married any more but to be frank there's no room for a woman.'You can hardly move for gnomes, but that's the way I like it. They've become my life.'It does make it hard cleaning the house because you have to weave the vacuum cleaner in and out and be careful not to hit them.
