Eyeglasses Made out of Human Hair

Finally! Surely we've all dreamed of wearing glasses made out of hair!

This piece by Azusa Murakami and Alexander Groves, has a rather nice woodgrain appearance, don't you think? More importantly, it's eco-friendly:

The UK beauty industry imports 15 million pounds worth of human hair per year. As the world’s population continues to increase, human hair has been reimagined as a viable—importantly renewable–material.

Hair Glasses comprises of human hair with bioresin as a binding agent, the frames are 100% biodegradable and no harmful substances are released during production.

Granted, I don't want to eat soup with a hair in it, even if objectively there's nothing at all wrong with it. But your only comment is "gross"?

How do you survive? How do you go to the toilet? What do you eat? You wear a bio hazard suit all the time?

BTW; there's hair all over you.

I survive just fine. I also find the idea of wearing something made from someone else's hair- or skin or fingernail clippings, for that matter- very unappealing. I expressed that very concisely. Now why am I explaining myself to some random internet troll?

I imagine Mitch has worn clothes made from animal hair without complaining. Or eaten their muscle tissue.
Wonder how hair compares with fiberglass or carbon fiber for strength? Maybe we can make planes out of it!
