Spectacular Cog Railways

Cog railways can travel up steep hills and mountains because of an extra rail underneath with teeth. Cogwheels on the train itself fit into those teeth and keep it pushing upward. Some of these railways have been in service over a hundred years in the Alps and the Rockies! Take a closer look at how they work and see some spectacular photographs at Dark Roasted Blend. Link

I can understand the initial appeal of wanting to live in some hobo-opolis but once the novelty wears thin and the romance is all but gone you'll be pining for a 3500 sq ft beige box with central heating in a subdivision .

You may be interested in the Ace modular building units which can be used as a standalone unit or component of a larger structure. It is compact for transportation and storage, easily assembled/dissassembled with hand tools on site, and can be configured (both interior space and exterior windows/doors) for many applications.
