Dr. Frankenstein Now a Hospital Administrator

Well, in his defense, he is an outstanding scientist. Not many doctors can reanimate the dead. Oh, and he has other qualifications:

Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital has hired a new interim, part-time chief medical officer, a board-certified physician in the areas of pulmonology and internal medicine with a track record for evaluating hospital standards at the national level.

Was going to make the Frahnk-en-STEEN joke from the Gene Wilder/Mel Brooks movie, but they already made it in the article.

Did he bring along EYE-gore? What hump?

The article is not helping by saying it's pronounced Franken-STEEN. That just makes you think of Gene Wilder saying that repeatedly in Young Frankenstein and then it's even funnier.

The article says his name is "pronounced Franken-STEEN—unlike the monster-building doctor in Mary Shelley's classic story."

Apparently Mr. Holt has never seen "Young Frankenstein", because that's exactly how Gene Wilder pronounces it in Mel Brooks' classic film.

Pronunciation aside, one would think that certain last names would fall out of use due to the negative connotations: Hitler, Stalin, Frankenstein, etc.

All the receptionists and nurses are very particular about the "franken-STEEN" pronounciation, as well. I'm sure med school was hell with that name.
