What Is It? Game 155

It is once again time for our collaboration with the always amusing What Is It? Blog. Can you guess what the pictured item is?

Place your guess in the comment section below. One guess per comment, please, though you can enter as many as you'd like. Post no URLs or weblinks, as doing so will forfeit your entry. Two winners: the first correct guess and the funniest (albeit ultimately wrong) guess will win T-shirt from the NeatoShop.

Please write your T-shirt selection alongside your guess. If you don't include a selection, you forfeit the prize, okay? May we suggest the Science T-Shirt, Funny T-Shirt and Artist-Designed T-Shirts?

For more clues, check out the What Is It? Blog. Good luck!

Update: The very first comment had the correct answer! UnderpantsGnome knew this object as a spring winder for making conical bedsprings. The award for the funniest answer goes to lonewolfe13, who gave us this gem:
It is obviously for making giant spaghetti balls. First you take your pot of pasta and you tilt it sideways so you can get the tip if the spiral cone into the pasta. Then a friend of yours would spin the crank until you have a flying spaghetti monster worthy dinner.
Both win T-shirts from the NeatoShop. Congratulations, guys!

Too cute. Hey, the lil bird knows a meal ticket when it sees one :D Hope no heartless bastard takes advantage of that though and kills the bird or captures it.

Juice is a good observer.
American Robins were named after the European ones because both have a red chests, but they're not closely related. American Robins are in the thrush family, while European Robins are closer related to flycatchers.

Please can someone inform neatorama that this version of the Youtube clip is a rip-off and is an unauthorized copy. My video can be found by key words Tame Robin Worcester. The Video was made by me (Youtube user name Yoeddy) If someone can help I’d be very grateful.

Good to see John Hancock on Neatorama! This story is huge in the British press and has received loads of wonderful comments on newspaper message boards. Robins are supposed to aggressive little birds towards others on their territory but there's no doubt that they are cute. I had one on my bird table this morning as I was putting out nuts and seeds. He kept cocking his head on one side as though he was showing off and he seemed to have no fear of me. On the other hand if I come across a pheasant in the garden, it causes pandemonium as it flies away in panic.
