Bear Climbs Tree Stand

(Video Link)

This video, allegedly taken last September near Newfolden, Minnesota, shows a hunter in a tree stand. A black bear wanders by and decides to climb up the ladder of the stand to where the hunter sits.

If you remain calm and act like you belong there, they will just walk away... well, that's what I've heard from people who have been in that situation.

It's a Black Bear. Traditionally, they are not as aggressive and don't want anything to do with humans. They are, however, very curious. "The bear climbed over the mountain, to see what he could see." Generally, if you make yourself known to them, they will react just like that. A grizzly, on the other hand, would be like "OH BOY! TOY FOOD!"

I was keeping my eyes on the clock to decide at which point the hiker probably would be peeing his pants, or worse (I figured 2:05), and then... "Heeeye, what are you doing there?", in that sweet accent (Canadian?)... Omg! BEEEST!!!

"Hey, whatta ya doin' der? "Whatta ya doin' der?!"

That's just Minnesota-talk. Being a Minnesotan myself, allow me to translate for you:

"HOLY FU@KIN $HIT!! A BEAR!! GET THE FU@K OUT OF HERE BEAR!! GOO AWAAAYY!! (OH GOD, I THINK I JUST $HIT MY PANTS.)"
