Critter Gitter

Here in Texas, it's not uncommon to see chairs mounted on metal frames over pickup trucks. They're mobile stands used by hunters who want to get a good view over an area. The Critter Gitter, pictured above, is a very fancy version of this specialized vehicle. It's made by a company in Texas that builds custom hunting trucks. The Critter Gitter sits on 64" tires and comes equipped with an iPod dock, a winch to haul game inside, cooler racks, and airbags. You can see more pictures and photos of other, similar vehicles at the link.

A Murdermobile! Awesome! All it's missing is a meat-grinder on the back to turn all the slaughtered animals into McNuggets. Maybe someday we can eliminate the driver and hunters, and just make a truck that drives around scooping up and killing everything in its way.

I agree with Colt. I don't condone hunting for anything other than population control but it seems like this kind of thing just makes people who hunt for real look like lazy rednecks. If you are going to hunt for sport why not make it challenging and fair instead of an excuse to murder.

I think the next logical step is to automate the operation of the vehicle so you can remove the driver and hunters and the vehicle will just drive around on its own, killing animals and harvesting their corpses.

If you buy one of these things how much per pound does the meat that you get from hunting end up costing you? Are you paying $20,000 to get 60 pounds of meat?

Whoa, Max. No name-calling. That just takes away from your point, no matter how valid.

It's pretty crazy how the sport of hunting and fishing can become so artificial and mechanized that one wonders what the deal is anymore.
