Dancing Swedish Police Officer

(YouTube Link)

This police officer in Malmö, Sweden, has become an internet sensation. He seems to think that he's a good dancer. Do you agree?

Apparently Malmö is the cesspool of Sweden, everyone warned me to stay away and not go out at night.

But it was still 1000X less scary than my home town of Baltimore at night.

If I ever get back I will feel a little less safe knowing this guy is the fine blue line there.

Whether or not he is a good dancer (which I think is totally subjective), I think it is refreshing to see a cop that is more like one of the people, as opposed to the overly-serious, arrogant, power-drunk, condescending forces we have to deal with here (eg, New Jersey State Troopers). Really, I think it would make me want to respect the law more than rebel against it.

Apparently a stunt by some actor against police violence.
In Malmö police officers have been pelted with rocks and glass bottles.

Immigrant neighborhoods are not nice there.

One commenter on the video has said that it's an actor, Magnus Schmitz.

I wish it was a cop, but if you pause it around 0:22 when he gets close to the camera, you can see that it is the actor.

Nose shape, eyebrows, lip shape. Definitely the same guy.

I's a shame people are judged on their dancing abilities when the goal should be the joy of movement in itself.

Sing like you don't need the money
Love like you'll never get hurt
Dance like nobody's watching
It's gotta come from the heart if you want it to work

Hey, it might not be "fashionable" kiddie-dance, but he's having a good time, and that's what dancing is about.
and,
what Jacoby87 implied; at least the man has taste.

I'm from Sweden and I just wanted to say how fun it is to see this video posted here. This video have become kinda famous here in Sweden, but it is, as someone already said, an actor and not a real police. However I still find it equally hilarious.

I love your site, in fact I have it as my home page, that way I can read all kinds of fun facts whenever I start my browser.

Oh and Miss Cellania that was a great quote you posted there, I will have to remember that one.

Greetings from Sweden, keep up the good work!

That is not a fake cop. He clearly has all the equipment visible that the Swedish police use. Not to mention that he is standing in front of a police van.

Dan lmao you are in DENIAL buddy.
He IS in fact an ACTOR, give it a rest seriously.

It was a funny and enjoyable video, that is all.

Again this ISNT a real Police Officer, seems as if you are out of the loop.

It was a joke/schtick.

Great one none the less haha.
