I remember reading The House That Jack Built. I loved it. This book takes that same rhyming style and turns it into a ghetto-fabulous tale of the dangers of crack, from start to finish. It begins with the exploited South American workers in the coca fields and goes all the way to the streets of the inner city.

Ignorant description of an unconventional, yet probably OK book. I'm pretty sure this book would be handed out by other family members who attended Al-Anon meetings. Where was a book like this when I was a kid? Sheesh.
When I was a baby/toddler, my parents got a book called "Being Born" by Sheila Kitzinger. It was about how a baby is formed and how it grows in the womb, and has some stunning photography. At the end there are some very graphic pictures of a vaginal delivery, which no doubt would keep it out of many school libraries.
