Since 1987, illustrator Martin Handford's Where's Waldo? (Where's Wally in the UK) books have challenged the pattern recognition skills of children and adults. In the many books featuring Waldo, Handford has occasionally hidden strange if not a touch scandalous images. Adrian Beiting of of the geekery blog Topless Robot has compiled nine of the oddities, such as an Aztec human sacrifice:

Some of them were pretty stupid. The lions peeing in a port-a-potty one was pretty lame. As though THAT'S the strangest thing in a waldo book. I think the topless lady or the Aztec sacrifice should have been top of the list.

You know I was always a bit disappointed to not see little images of Amelia Earhart, D.B. Cooper, or Jimmy Hoffa wandering within the Waldo scenes!

You know that the Aztecs shown are sacrificing Conquistadors, it's only fitting after the Spanish basically destroyed their civilization.

Maybe if the Aztecs did more human sacrifice it would have prevented their "civilization" from being "destroyed".

I came close to loving this, especially number one, except they inexplicably call that a mountain lion.
