Matthias Wandel used LEGO Technic parts to build a machine that distributes dominoes in rows. His website is filled with other similar gadgets, most of which are made out of wood.

Now, all we need is a LEGO domino curve layer, a LEGO domino harvester (to pick up the knocked over dominoes) and a LEGO domino reloader.

Needs to be controllable or have a programmable function so it can do elaborate pictures. :-) It works surprisingly well givin its simplicity!
