The Letter People was a literacy program that began in 1972 and grew into a TV show. In today's Lunchtime Quiz at mental_floss, we'll see how well you recall the individual Letter People of Letter Land. You'll be given the character, but can you remember their original alliterative "characteristic"? I couldn't! Link

I got 100% as well. My mom saved EVERYTHING so I still have the little booklets for each letter. :)

I, being English and 13, have never seen the Letter People. No, I was relegated to Letterland (I think). However, I did somehow manage to get 6/11 right on the quiz. I must have seen it in a past life or something.

I, being 51 and American, have also never seen The Letter People. Nor have I ever heard of it before this quiz! I didn't even try guessing.

This made me smile. Their "programming" must've worked, as I got 100% *AND* still remember some of the songs.
