How Many Ways Can You Reuse a Dumpster?

Photo: Tomas Valenzuela

Artist and environmental activist Oliver Bishop-Young's project "Skip Conversions" tried to find creative and often amusing ways of recycling unwanted products. One example was a dumpster, which he turned into a swimming pool, a skateboard ramp, a living room, a garden, and a campsite. More pictures at the link.

I don't get it.

Since when is a dumpster an unwanted product. All these dumpsters look like they are i good condition. I bet they are pretty expensive, and anyway the uses the "artist" has invented are not very innovative or in anyway practical.

Are we supposed to be amazed that this guy has found out that gravity does keep liquids in cups. we'll just have to wait for his next project where he finds uses for unwanted holes. Like you can put sand or water in it. Or a chair.
Brilliant!

So that's what they call dumpster diving. Looks dangerous - or is that shallow of me?

I can honestly say I've never seen anyone throwing out a dumpster.

Nope, they just converted skips, which "A Noun" has already explained are garbage receptacles, commonly known to many as dumpsters.
