Earthquake Survival Suits for Pets

Earthquake survival suits for pets each equipped with all of the necessary gear including water, biscuits, aromatherapy oils, and rubber foot pads, all contained in the pockets of a flame-resistant coat:

Looking at the picture of that poor cat-
A pity now the suit is so heavy that the poor pet cannot run or even walk out of harms way anymore as it could and would do without the suit....

And then:
- Aromatherapy oils...???
- Rubber foot pads...???
Like if that poor cat will have the thought to take some aroma-therapy oil to soothe its nerves when it has gotten trapped somewhere...?

Maybe this is more like a St. Bernard's barrel, meant to bring supplies to people trapped in the ruins?

How do the dogs and cats open the pockets themselves?

Are these to be placed onto your cat beofre or after the earthquake?

I think a cat or dog knows better how to survive without "technology" than humans.

This blog post is misleading; the cat could not survive by itself, which is what your phrasing implies. Someone would have to calm down the cat, feed the cat, etc. which is what the vest helps out with. It's just an easy way to know where the cat supplies are, if you can find your cat.

I wondered the same thing....how is the cat supposed to open the pockets? I had to laugh at the picture though....that poor cat.

Animals can sense quakes before the even hit, so I dont really see the point in this.
