Smallest Snake in the World Discovered

Most of these live in jungles, but the one in the picture has been confined to quarters.

I've actually encountered a few snakes not much bigger than that (I live in West Texas).

I was very happy to read that it doesn't crawl into parts of the body that are exit only.

Agree with Emp. Tomato Catsup....I live in South Texas and I've seen these things since I was a kid. They arent all that uncommon. We had a few get in the house & mom called them "glass snakes"

"Even Smaller Snake Discovered"

This species was already "discovered" and the natives knew about it for a long time. We have to stop claiming that as soon as a western scientist reaches a jungle that he or she is the first person see a species. it's taken nearly 500 years for people to finally start believing that Columbus didn't discover America.
