17 Cool Magnet Tricks

Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories has quite a few neat things you can do with magnets. Some are really artful, some are great for teaching purposes, and here's one I'll definitely use sometime:
Find studs in your walls

Move a magnet over the wall until it finds a screw or nail head under the paint. You don't even need to mark the wall-- you can just leave the magnet there until you've drilled your holes.

One thing you do not want to do with these little magnets is having anywhere near toddlers. Two of these magnets swallowed can kill a baby when the intestines get perforated . . . Just saying.

If memory serves, in the movie "The Big Easy" Dennis Quaid's character, Detective McSwain, throws a powerful magnet through a shop window. When the magnet is checked into the evidence room, the friendly evidence clerk places the magnet next to a surveillance tape that show's McSwain taking a bribe. Both the evidence and the case against him is thus destroyed.

I sent my friend a link to the Super Magnet Man - he ordered a handful of the little tiny ones like the ones in the photo, and is using them to hang the pictures on his walls.
