Their purposes are different -- some make historical references, others are satire from his detractors, and some just want to make him look cool. One thing's for sure -- the man is all things to all people.

Well, once he starts doing something, we will see if Mr. Obama is worthy of being compared to Mr. Lincoln.
Another day.....ANOTHER Obama post.
Come on Neatorama....there are all sorts of truly neat things beyond the residents of the White House that you could create posts about.
"Non-Political Obamessiah worship society"
Remember The Dear One is Doubleplusgood
You better be careful with your thoughts there, mate, or you might just be vaporized by the Thought Police.
What do you call issuing an order with a hard deadline for closing Guantanamo and signing legislation ensuring equal pay for women within a week of his inauguration?
Continue lamenting Obama posts on neatorama all you like, but at least don't just make up stuff. Any cursory investigation of his time in the last week will reveal plenty of action.
I'd call that "making up stuff" because that isn't what happened. Even Obie himself has said that Gitmo may be open through the end of his first term.
Yeah violet in all fairness, Gitmo still has a loophole open for the CIA.
Ledbetter though, that's real progress. So that's 1.
This election was a repeat of 1976, Jimmy Carter was played by Obama and Gerald Ford was played by John McCain. John McCain represented bad ideas that his own base hated him for and immediately blamed the only bright spot in his campaign for his loss. 2012 might bring out a serious challanger for Mr. Obama, until then I plan on waiting for a Candidate who can be Ron Paul without being Ron Paul. When that time comes, then the Obama worship will end.
Saying out loud that it was torture, that the shadow trial set-up is unacceptable, that the effect on our identity as a nation of laws based on the rights of man is pernicious, and that it needs to go is a step we had lamentably not climbed before.
And Ledbetter is amazing and unprecedented, and certain cabinet appointments have been incredibly heartening, especially with regard to Holder on record as declaring torture as torture and holding the door open for those with deep pockets and great power to potentially be held accountable for crimes that far, far outweigh the petty ones that the poor and powerless are routinely and harshly penalized for. The mere suggestion that the vast and utterly disgusting gap in justice between the very powerful and the most powerless has me feeling a wee bit warmed.
My point stands that there is activity and there is movement, and there are things to cite if one were so inclined to be informed of them.
"especially with regard to Holder on record as declaring torture as torture and holding the door open for those with deep pockets and great power to potentially be held accountable for crimes that far, far outweigh the petty ones that the poor and powerless are routinely and harshly penalized for."
Would this be the same Holder who agreed to NOT prosecute former administration officials in return for votes in the Senate? Is that the Holder you are referring to?
"held accountable for crimes that far, far outweigh the petty ones that the poor and powerless are routinely and harshly penalized for."
That little morsel was so delicious I had to post it a second time.
I especially like the "held accountable for crimes...the poor and powerless are routinely and harshly penalized for."
That's my favorite part considering that this administration just named Tim Geithner, an admitted tax cheat, to Sec of the Treasury.
Can you tell me any other time in US history we have had a tax cheat in charge of the Treasury and the IRS?
Activity and movement perhaps. In the right direction? Not so much.
Sorry, but your point doesn't stand. Making stuff up, getting called out on it, and being proven wrong pretty much destroys your point.
Of course all of these facts are readily available to anyone who is inclined to be informed of them.
I'm ignoring you because you're being condescending, sneering, antagonistic, and trollish without regard or thoughtful consideration for any dissent, differing opinion, or information beyond what fits into your fixed view.
That right there is priceless ladies and gentlemen.
Priceless.
What you're really saying is that the facts fly in the face of your argument and that you have nothing to rebut what I've presented.
That's what you're really saying.
You can present whatever "dissent" or "differing opinion" you wish to present. No one is stopping you.
Certainly not me.
I gave your posts thoughtful consideration and discovered that you were wrong. Sorry about that. If you're interested in expanding your intellectual acuity then perhaps you should read more widely and broaden your horizons.
Facts are stubborn things and I will present them so that you can see that the truth lies beyond your fixed view.
The questions I posed to you regarding Holder and Geithner remain unanswered by the way. Why is that?
They were easy.
The questions will only get tougher as we go along.
Oh, I almost forgot. You can add Tom Daschle to the list of nominees in this administration who have tax issues.
What is it about Dems and not paying taxes?
They have no problem raising them at every opportunity for everyone else.
Is this the "HopenChange" that BO promised?
Hope. Change. Double standards.
You are featured in terrible movies.
I am constantly stymied by the fact that you keep appearing on the silver screen.
I blame Disney
Guess it's tough to argue when the facts are outside of your narrow fixed view.
It seems like BO is keeping the practice of rendition as a tool in the War on Terror.
This is bound to cause a huge amount of bed wetting among the HopeyChangers.
Heh.
