A Night At The Museum, For Real - Neatorama

Most offices in DC were closed for Inauguration Day, but some employees of the National Museum of American History got to have a sleepover in their offices so they could be front and center for the festivities on the Mall when they woke up.

Before they went to sleep they all watched "A Night at the Museum," and one staffer couldn't help peeking in to the exhibit area afterwards to make sure none of their artifacts had come to life!

The Australian Museum in Sydney has sleepovers every few months where you watch Night at the Museum and sleep in the dinosaur gallery.

Some particularly devoted museum employees sleep at their respective museums on occasion, you get more work done that way! ;)

i got to stay at the boston museum of science with the girl scouts back in the 80's. it was surreally awesome. the exhibits stayed on a little late so there was no wait for anything.

I stayed overnight at a museum when I was in Camp Fire. We slept next to two head butting dinosaurs and some Boy Scouts.

At the Guggenheim Museum here in the city they've been selling the opportunity to stay overnight at the museum for something like $800. Here's a link to the story:
